As President of IUON, I want to introduce you to our unique global nursing program.  If your dream is to earn your BSN while experiencing nursing from a global outreach perspective, then IUON is the only choice for you! 

We offer both a Direct Entry and Upper Division BSN Degree.  Unlike our U.S. counterparts, we do not have capacity issues and still have immediate openings for our September 2012 class.   We operate on a trimester schedule, with start dates in January, May and September.

Depending upon the program, students spend 3 to 6 semesters at our oceanfront campus located on the beautiful and exotic English-speaking Caribbean island of St. Kitts.  At IUON we emphasize global nursing in a unique and culturally rewarding environment.  Our students begin interacting with patients in the local clinics on St. Kitts immediately, giving them a unique clinical experience and insight into the healthcare systems outside the US. 

The final year of the BSN program is completed at one our affiliated nursing schools in the United States or Canada.  Our graduates receive two degree's; one from IUON and the other from the affiliated school you attended.  Graduates from IUON are currently licensed and practicing throughout the United States and Canada.  We are proud to announce that our pass rate on the NCLEX exceeds the national average and is currently over 90%.

We’ve invested over $50 million dollars in developing a state-of-the-art global campus that is comparable to the best nursing schools in the world.  Our 24-bed virtual hospital is absolutely amazing.  It’s equipped with the latest simulation technology including i-Stan®.  We maintain small classes to provide a personalized education, catering to the individual needs of our motivated and adventurous students.  Our faculty is comprised of highly qualified and experienced professionals, recruited primarily from the United States and Canada.  They are dedicated and committed to your success.

St. Kitts is truly a wonderful place to live and study.  Local Kittians are extremely friendly and openly embrace our students.  In your downtime you can enjoy paradise and the many natural treasures St. Kitts has to offer.  The island is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, vast sea life, soaring volcanic peaks, lush rainforest and breathtaking sunsets.  Hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing and zip-lining are just a few of the outdoor activities in which students can partake.
